'The Wolverine' with a Katana & his Claws in new Poster

After debuting a 6 second sneak peak video by a social network service called Vine. The bigger tease is here. "The Wolverine" has released more scenes in a new extended 20 seconds trailer by director James Mangold. The full trailer (around 2 minutes) will be released on Wednesday, March 27. In addition, two rather boring motion posters have been revealed. One is quite familiar, while the other is all new and kind of cool to see, but still lackluster. As usual, Hugh Jackman is featuring the role of The Wolverine. Based on the celebrated comic book arc by Chris Claremont & Frank Miller, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed. The video begins with Logan getting shot while being in the crowd. In another scene, he and Yukio are about to get in action with Logan saying that what turned him into a mutant with adamantium claws "can't be undone." The video concludes with another character telling him, "Don't be so sure." Following the posters which have been released previously, "The Wolverine" has also dropped two motion posters. The posters feature rain and scattered rocks in the background. The first poster shows Logan (The Wolverine) roaring with his claws out, while in the second poster, Logan gets the claws on his right hand out and holds a katana in his other hand.     The Wolverine is made from a script by Christopher McQuarrie and Mark Bomback who are adapting the classic 1982 story arc in the Wolverine comics, which takes our favorite mutant all the way to Japan. The cast includes
  • Will Yun Lee as the Silver Samurai,
  • Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper,
  • Brian Tee,
  • Hiroyuki Sanada, and
  • Rila Fukushima.
20th Century Fox is releasing The Wolverine in theaters starting July 26th this summer.
