Hyderabad Test: Day 3, India-Australia Test Series
After a Fantastic Day with the bat on Day 2 for the Indians, on Day 3, their aim would be to Increase their Lead as much they can & encounter Australia in a Perfect Style.
While Australians might have thought to pick few crucial wickets early in the day & get back in the game.
India began day 3 on 311-1.
Both Murali Vijay & Cheteshwar Pujara continued their innings quiet perfectly.
Playing the bad balls & respecting the good balls.
Soon Murali Vijay reached his highest score in test cricket by breaking his previous best of 139, which was also came against Australians in 2010 at Bangalore.
He reached his 150 as well.
But, on 387, Murali Vijay was caught at Shortleg on the bowling of Glenn Maxwell, becaming his first victim in test carrier.
He was dismissed on 167 & with that a record partnership of 366 for 2nd wicket for India in test cricket was also broke.
Cheteshwar Pujara also hot his 2nd double century of his career.
He took 332 balls to reach to the milestone.
But soon after getting his 2nd century of the innings, trying to hook a short ball from Pattinson, he was caught in the deep fine leg region of X Doherty.
He scored 204.
India's score was 400-3 at Lunch on Day 3.
Virat Kohli & Sachin Tendulkar were on the crease till Lunch.
Soon after Lunch, Sachin was caught behind off Pattinson on 7.
Then arrived the Hero of Chennai Test, MS Dhoni on the crease.
He continued his attacking cricket from ball 1.
He & Kohli took India total par 450.
But on 44, he became 2nd victim of Maxwell. He was caught by Doherty.
When Dhoni was dismissed, Indian total was 460.
After that batsman came & went.
Wickets start falling for India like anything.
Soon Indian total reached 9-491.
India was all out on 503, B Kumar was the last man to be dismissed.
India got a lead of 266 in the Ist Innings over Australians 237-9d, Ist Innings total.
Indians were 387-1 at one stage & got all out on 503.
When Australians came out to bat, they started their innings with attack on Indian Bowlers but they provided some half chances of getting Dismissed but Indians did not completed that.
They got to a flying start & both openers Ed Cowan & David Warner got a stand of 50+.
But R Ashwin, who was bowling consistently from his first over provided the first break through for India in the form of David Warner, who tried to Sweep an over pitched ball & was clean bowled round his legs.
Both the openers added 56 for the first wicket.
Phillip Hughes was also dismissed in the same fashion as David Warner. He was also bowled by Ashwin.
Shane Watson was the next to crease.
Both Ed Cowan & Shane Watson survived to crease without any damage to wicketcard.
They ended the day on 74-2.
They are still Trailing by 192 runs.
On day 4, India's must plan would be straight & Simple, Go & Dismiss The Australiana, While Australia must be thinking to stay as much longer on the wicket to avoid another defeat in the series.
