Sony To Launch Xperia ZR: Water and dust resistance

Sony is planning to launch a new Smart Phone called the Xperia ZR. This will have features similar to Z but with smaller 4.6 inch display. According to Information the handset is codenamed as Dogo with model number C550X. Features of  Xperia's  New Smart Phone ZR:-

• ZR  IP55/IP58, which is higher than the IP55/IP57 rating of the Xperia Z.

 

• It will ditch the 1080p 5-inch display in favor of a smaller 4.6-inch 720p display.

 

• The phone can survive submergence upto 1.5 metres under water for 30 minutes.

 

• Very high dust and water resistance .

 

• It  is rumored to be 10mm thick and to weigh 140 grams.

 

• Camera :- 13MP Exmor RS camera .

 

• Internal Storage :- 8GB storage and a slot for microSD.

 

• Processor :- 1.5GHz quad-core .

 

• Battery :-2300mAh battery .

 

• Ram :- 2GB RAM .

    Xperia ZR besides the rumoured IP55/58 certification. Well, not much. From the specs sheet, the ZR looks to be an elder sibling of the  SP, which was just launched in India. It  is supposedly codenamed Dogo and if we look at Sony's smartphone launches last year, it could debut at IFA in Berlin in September.
