Naturally then, owners of HTC flagships in days gone by may be wondering whether their particular devices will see this new UI at any point in the future. And luckily, the answer is yes. It looks like this year the Taiwanese company won't pull something similar to the Sense 3.6 affair from 2012.

The browser has been available since late October for users of Windows 8. Microsoft Launches Internet Explorer 10 | Eminentyouth Microsoft's new touch-friendly operating system, but now becomes available for the 700 million or so users of Windows 7. Microsoft is hoping PC and laptop users will like the new browser enough to consider buying Windows 8 tablets rather than Apple Inc's iPad, which does not support Internet Explorer. Various versions of Microsoft's venerable Internet Explorer franchise still dominate desktop browsing, with 55% of the PC browser market all together. But it has in recent years lost share to Mozilla's Firefox and Google's Chrome, which now account for 20% and 17% respectively, according to tech research firm NetMarket Share. IE 10 running on Windows 8 has got generally good reviews, and has been hailed as the best version of Internet Explorer yet, but it has not been considered decisively superior to Chrome or Firefox. Microsoft Launches Internet Explorer 10 | Eminentyouth In the smaller but faster-growing mobile browser market, Apple's Safari is the runaway leader with 61%, owing to the popularity of its iPhones and iPads while Google's Android browser has 21%. Tablets running Windows 8, including Microsoft's own Surface devices, have not sold strongly since they were launched last October, restricting IE 10's popularity so far. Only 2.3% of computer users are running Windows 8, according to NetMarketShare.

Jennifer Lawrence Falls But Yet Won Oscar for The Best Actress

As she staggered to her feet the star-studded audience leapt up to give the blushing actress a standing ovation, much to her embarrassment 'Thank you so much,' she told them. 'This is nuts. You guys are only standing up because I fell and you feel bad. That was embarrassing.' Lawrence used all her remaining strength to give a charmingly breathless acceptance speech. Jennifer also thanked her co-stars, crew and team for their support before wishing her fellow nominee, Amour star Emmanuelle Riva a happy 86th birthday. Jennifer Lawrence Falls But Yet Won | Eminentyouth Dressed in a stunning off-white strapless Dior Haute Couture gown, her accident happened as  Silver Linings Playbook star Jennifer rushed to the stage still shocked by her win. As she fell on her knees Jennifer momentarily held her head in her hands, but quickly carried on. A smiling Hugh Jackman rushed to help Jennifer, holding out his hand to escort her safely to the podium. Despite her initial embarrassment the 22-year-old quickly laughed off the incident and began her stream of thank you. Perhaps Jennifer's quick recovery is due to the fact that she's been in a very similar situation before. At the Screen Actor's Guild Awards her midnight blue Dior gown appeared to fall apart as she climbed the stairs. Then Dior explained that the dress was made in layers, with Jennifer simply hitching up the top layer to reveal her legs. Jennifer Lawrence Falls But Yet Won This time the unfortunate incident could have been even worse. The new face of Miss Dior admitted she'd actually cut off six inches from the train of the dress before the show. 'It would have been too insane,' Jennifer told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet Still, the dress was long enough to hide her feet and high heels, which she said she would love to take off if nobody would notice. Jennifer also revealed she had a very stressful day before the event and admitted she hadn't had time to eat. 'I'm freaking starving,' she said. She then pointed longingly to McDonald's down Hollywood Boulevard and jokingly asked her publicist to swing by and pick her up a burger.  'Today was so stressful. There was everybody in, my family got ready at my house. 'I felt like Steve Martin in Father of the Bride with all the furniture being moved around my house And her family were there to watch as Jennifer accepted her award. Her mother Karen wrapped her arms around her daughter in delight, sharing her big moment. The actress was previously nominated in the same category two years ago for her role in Winter's Bone. Most critics gave the Best Actress edge to Lawrence, an actress who's no stranger to fending off competition thanks to her star- making turn in "The Hunger Games." But it was the raw role of Tiffany Maxwell in "Silver Linings Playbook" that has given Lawrence one crowded trophy case. Lawrence now has an Oscar to squeeze in next to the SAG and Golden Globe awards she won for "Silver Linings." Lawrence was previously nominated for Best Actress for 2010's "Winter's Bone." Now with an Academy Award under her arm and two mega-franchises in their prime ("The Hunger Games" and "X-Men"), the 22-year-old Lawrence represents a new generation of superstar actresses who are able to both earn the big money and big awards.

India Thrashed Australia by 8 Wickets In Chennai Test

India Beat Australia To Take a 1-0 Lead in Airtel Border Gavasker Trophy

India Thrashed Australia by 8 Wickets In Chennai Test | Eminentyouth Australia began the day 5 with the hopes of a miracle to happen so that they can save the first test while India's plan was very simple, to dismiss the last pair & then chase down the target. Australia began the day 5 with their overnight score of 232-9. It took the Indians just nine overs on Day 5 to put an end to Australia's resistance when Ravindra Jadeja broke the agonisingly long last-wicket partnership between Henriques and Lyon. Australia could add just nine runs to their tally much to the relief of the Indians who had a frustrating time trying to dismiss the last-wicket pair. Lyon, who showed a lot of grit and temperament to hang on, was dismissed by left-arm spinner Jadeja, caught by Murali Vijay at short-leg. India Thrashed Australia by 8 Wickets In Chennai Test | Eminentyouth Henriques followed up his first innings half-century with another gutsy unbeaten 81 and together with Lyon added 66 runs for the final wicket to take the match into the fifth and final day and prevent India from recording an innings victory. Australia folded up for 241 in their second innings, leaving the hosts a small victory target of 50. Chasing a small target of 50, India suffered two early blows in the form of openers Sehwag and Vijay, whose flop show with the bat continued. The opening duo of Sehwag and Vijay put on 16 runs as Vijay once again gave away his wicket to Pattinson. Vijay started his innings with a bang, smacking Lyon straight over his head for a six, his only scoring shot of the innings. But that was all the local boy could manage in the innings as he was caught by Henriques at mid-off off James Pattinson when he tried to go a big drive in the next over. Cheteshwar Pujara joined the action after Vijay's dismissal and had to go through some torrid time in the first few deliveries he faced from off- spinner Lyon. Pujara gave a half chance to the Australians which the visitors failed to pounce on. The ball hit the top of Pujara's pad and then the glove before crashing into wicket-keeper Mathew Wade's mid-riff as the batsman tried to pad Lyon away in the fourth over. But there was more drama in store as Sehwag (19) also returned to the pavilion, edging a Lyon delivery to Michael Clarke at first slip in the second delivery of the ninth over. The hosts lost both their openers Murali Vijay (6) and Virender Sehwag (19) before overhauling the target with more than two full sessions to spare. Sehwag's dismissal marked the arrival of Sachin Tendulkar at the crease and the champion seemed in a hurry to finish off the chase as he clobbered Lyon for two consecutive sixes in the first two deliveries he faced in the innings. India Thrashed Australia by 8 Wickets In Chennai Test | Eminentyouth This happened for the first time in the master's carrier o 195 tst matches that he whacked a six on the first ball he faced. Pujara and Tendulkar ensured that there were no further damage for India as they got the required runs in 11.3 overs. Cheteshwar Pujara brought about the winning run off Nathan Lyon to trigger off scenes of celebrations in the galleries and the Indian dressing room as the players congratulated and hugged each other. It was a commendable show by the Indians, who have been under pressure of late following a series of indifferent performances in recent times. While captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni expectedly got the man-of-the-match award for his game-changing knock of 224, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin scalped 12 wickets in the match to also play a stellar role. The margin of victory could have been bigger had the Indians managed to get rid of the last wicket pair on Day 4 itself and had they not lost both their openers despite chasing a small total. This was the third time that Indian spinners managed to take all the 20 wickets in a match. The first time that Indian spinners bagged all the 20 wickets was at this same venue against England in 1972-73 while the second such instance was against New Zealand in Auckland in 1975-76. The two teams will now travel to Hyderabad for the second Test be played at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium from March 2 to 6.

Oscars 2013 | Daniel Day Lewis wins record third Best Actor Oscar

Best Actor Oscar for 3rd Time

Daniel Day-Lewis won a record third Best Actor Oscar on Sunday for playing U.S. President Abraham Lincoln in "Lincoln."

The other nominees Sunday night were

  • Bradley Cooper ("Silver Linings Playbook"),
  • Hugh Jackman ("Les Miserables"),
  • Joaquin Phoenix ("The Master") and
  • Denzel Washington ("Flight").
Day-Lewis, 55, was the outright favorite to win the Academy Award for his quiet, intense performance as one of America's most revered presidents as he battled to end slavery and the U.S. Civil War. The British-born actor with dual Anglo-Irish citizenship won virtually every award in the run-up to Sunday's Oscar ceremony, including a Golden Globe, British BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild statuettes.

Known for months of meticulous preparation, Day-Lewis is already the holder of Best Actor Oscars for his roles as a paraplegic Irish writer in "My Left Foot" (1989) and a greedy early 20th century oil baron in "There Will Be Blood" (2007).

His win for "Lincoln" made him the first man to win three Best Actor Oscars in the 85-year history of the Academy Awards. The tall, intellectual actor also became the first person to win an Oscar for playing a U.S. President.

Accepting the award, Day-Lewis thanked the film's director, Steven Spielberg, and then paid tribute to the "mysteriously beautiful mind, body and spirit of Abraham Lincoln."

Day-Lewis chose to adopt a high-pitched speaking voice for Lincoln, in contrast to the dramatic, booming tones associated with the Civil War president in previous movies and TV portraits. But it was the humanity he brought to Lincoln that earned most critical praise and his success in bringing to life an American icon in a different, subtle way for a new generation.

Daniel Day Lewis

Referring to his previous Oscar success with 1997's Good Will Hunting, he said:
"I never thought I would be back here and I am because of so many of you who are here tonight. It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life, all that matters is that you get up."
Day-Lewis' immersive work as America's 16th president in "Lincoln" became one of the Oscar season's most celebrated turns from the moment the movie screened at the New York Film Festival in early October. The film was nominated for a total of 12 awards, including
  • Best Picture,
  • Best Director for Steven Spielberg,
  • Best Supporting Actor for Tommy Lee Jones, and
  • Best Supporting Actress for Sally Field.
When asked backstage if there's anyone he'd like to portray next, Day-Lewis said,
"I can't think of anyone right now because I need to have to lie down for a couple of years. No, I can't think of any. I really can't, no. It's really hard to imagine doing anything after this."
Other Oscars Awards 2013
  • Jennifer Lawrence won best actress for her role as a troubled young widow in Silver Linings Playbook.
  • Anne Hathaway won best supporting actress for her role as tragic factory worker Fantine in movie musical Les Miserables.
  • British singer Adele won the Oscar for best original song for her Bond theme Skyfall, which she also performed during the show.
  • Ang Lee won his second Oscar for directing Life of PiThe film won four Oscars in total, more than any other film.
  • Christoph Waltz won his second Oscar for best supporting actor in a Quentin Tarantino film.
  • The best adapted screenplay Oscar went to Chris Terrio for Argo, while Pixar's Scottish adventure Brave won best animated feature.
  • The award for costume design went to Briton Jacqueline Durran for Anna Karenina.
  • Austrian drama Amour won the Oscar for best foreign language film.
  • Ang Lee won Best Director.
  • Zero Dark Thirty, which had faced controversy over torture scenes, took only one award for Sound Editing.
  • Tarantino then won the Best Original Screenplay award.
  • Scottish adventure Brave, was named Best Animated Feature and

Day-Lewis becomes the first actor to win three lead Oscars. The 85th Academy Awards are being held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday night, in a televised ceremony hosted by Seth MacFarlane.

Academy Awards 2013 | Argo came up with Best Movie Award

Best Movie Award : ARGO

Being snubbed might have been the best thing to happen to Ben Affleck. Academy Awards 2013 | Argo came up with Best Movie Award His film "Argo" took the best picture Oscar on Sunday night at the 85th Academy Awards, more than a little solace, perhaps, for being snubbed in the directing category. Other marquee winners were Daniel Day-Lewis for lead actor for "Lincoln," Jennifer Lawrence for lead actress for "Silver Linings Playbook," and Ang Lee for director for "Life of Pi," which won four Oscars, the most for any film. It was a night of redemption for the affable Affleck. Ever since the producer-director-star of "Argo" was a surprising omission in the director category when the Oscar nominations were announced in January, he and his film has been on a roll. The drama about a plot to rescue Americans in Tehran during the Iranian revolution has won nearly every major honor this awards season, including the Golden Globe, the Screen Actors Guild Award, the Producers Guild Award and the Directors Guild Award. Academy Awards 2013 | Argo came up with Best Movie Award "I never thought I would be back here," Affleck said as he held the trophy aloft. He'd won an Oscar 15 years ago with Matt Damon for original screenplay category for "Good Will Hunting," but since then he has seen several career lows, including the ill-fated "Gigli," which he made with then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. His star began to rise again as he turned to directing. "It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life, 'cause that's gonna happen. All that matters is you gotta get up." "Argo" won three Oscars, including adapted screenplay for Chris Terrio and film editing for William Goldenberg. It's only the fourth time that a film has won best picture without its director being nominated. The win also made Oscar history: It was presented by First Lady Michelle Obama via satellite from the White House. Though it was Day-Lewis by a landslide for "Lincoln," Steven Spielberg's epic about the nation's 16th president was largely overlooked. It went into the evening with a dozen nominations — the most of any film. But it won only two, including production design. Day-Lewis' win also made history: He is the first to win three lead actor Oscars. He previously won for 1989's "My Left Foot" and 2007's "There Will Be Blood." But the biggest winner of the night was "Life of Pi," which has defied expectations at every turn. While it took a leap of faith to bring the bestselling book to the big screen, it has earned nearly $600 million worldwide — more than any of the other best film nominees. "Thank you, movie god," the Taiwanese filmmaker said as he collected his trophy and bowed before the standing, cheering audience. "Thank you for taking the leap with me," he said to the executives at Fox who backed the costly CGI-driven film. The film also won score for Mychael Danna, cinematography for Claudio Miranda and for its stunning visual effects. "Pi" marks Lee's second Academy Award win as director. He took home the same honor seven years ago for "Brokeback Mountain." In both cases, however, the films for which he won did not go on to win best picture.Austria's "Amour" was honored for foreign language film. The harrowing drama is about an elderly married couple struggling to cope when the wife suffers a stroke. The Bond film also won an Academy Award for the title tune, written by Paul Epworth and pop superstar Adele. Disney's "Paperman" won animated short, and Disney / Pixar's "Brave" won animated feature film. Disney's Jacqueline Durran won costume design for the period romance "Anna Karenina."Live-action short went to "Curfew," directed by Shawn Christensen. "Inocente," directed by Sean Fine and Andrea Nix Fine, won documentary short subject. Director Malik Bendjelloul's "Searching for Sugar Man," about the quest to find out what happened to a 1970s singer named Rodriguez, won best documentary. Early into the ceremony, the Internet was ablaze with early reviews for Oscars host Seth MacFarlane.MacFarlane — and his raunchy sense of humor — was an edgy choice for the Oscars. And some of those fears came true. There was a song about boobs, jokes about Jews in Hollywood, cracks about Lincoln's assassination and Latino accents, and talk of post-Oscars orgies – lines that had the audience groaning at times.

Anne Hathway and Christoph Waltz Grabbed best Supporting Actress & Actor Award

Award For Best Supportive Role : Actor & Actress

It was a dream come true night for Anne Hathaway in LA when she claimed the Oscar Award for best supporting actress Oscar for her role in Les Miserables. Anne Hathway and Christoph Waltz Grabbed best Supporting Actress & Actor Award | Eminentyouth In this film Tom Hooper's adaptation of the hit stage musical cast her as the tragic Fantine, who loses her job as a seamstress and comes to a bad end by the city gates. Hathaway's anguished rendition of the song 'I Dreamed a Dream' provided the film with its main emotional wallop. It is the first Oscar win for the 30-year-old performer, who was previously nominated in the best actress category for her turn as a middle-class drug addict in the 2008 drama Rachel Getting Married. Hathaway's other notable films include Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Alice inWonderland and The Dark Knight Rises. Starring in the very musical that made her want to become an actressat the age of 6, Anne Hathaway won the supporting actress Oscar for playing the doomed seamstress-turned-prostitute Fantine in "Les Misérables." In taking home the supporting actress Academy Award, Hathaway beat out Sally Field from "Lincoln," who was considered her closest rival in the category. To play the role of the emaciated Fantine in "Les Misérables," Hathaway lost some 25 pounds, so much weight that her director told her to stop. "To be honest, I thought she was going further than she should, and I tried to discourage her," Tom Hooper said. But even if Oscar voters praised her work, Hathaway gave herself mixed reviews. Asked if she was pleased with her performance in the finished film before its theatrical release, she shrugged and said, "Eh." While on the other hand, Christoph Waltz picked up his second best supporting actor Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards, winning the prize for his silken turn in Django Unchained. In this film Quentin Tarantino's self-styled "slavery western" cast the Austrian-born actor as a soft-spoken bounty hunter in the American south. "Like slavery, it's a cash for flesh business," he explains at one point. Waltz was the marginal favourite heading into the night, having already won at both the Golden Globes and Baftas. He won his previous Oscar for playing a smirking Nazi in Tarantino's 2009 war thriller Inglourious Basterds. The American film-maker is clearly Waltz's lucky charm. Anne Hathway and Christoph WaltzGrabbed best Supporting Actress & Actor Award | Eminentyouth Christoph Waltz won Best Supporting Actor at the 85th annual Academy Awards, besting four other former Oscar winners. Waltz, who plays a German bounty hunter in Quentin Tarantino's Spaghetti Western homage, had previously won Best Supporting Actor awards from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (Golden Globes) and BAFTA. Pairing with Tarantino has been a bingo for Waltz; he also won Best Supporting Actor for "Inglourious Basterds," Tarantino's revisionist World War II drama, at the 2010 Oscars ceremony. The ever-charming Waltz thanked his fellow "Django" stars while accepting the award. As mentioned, all nominees in the Best Supporting Actor category were previous Oscar winners. Waltz's Oscar win made losers of Alan Arkin ("Argo"; won previously for "Little Miss Sunshine"), Robert De Niro ("Silver Linings Playbook"; won previously for "The Godfather Part II" and "Raging Bull"), Tommy Lee Jones ("Lincoln"; previously for "The Fugitive") and Philip Seymour Hoffman ("The Master"; won previously for "Capote"). Last year, Christopher Plummer won Best Supporting Actor for "Beginners."

NASCAR Race ends with Deadly Crash

NASCAR Car Racing Event Ended into an Upsetting note

At least 28 NASCAR fans were injured on Saturday when large chunks of debris, including a tire, sailed into the grandstands when a car flew into the fence at Daytona International Speedway on a frightening last-lap accident in the second-tier Nationwide Series race. NASCAR Race ends with Deadly Crash | Eminentyouth Two of them critically during a jaw-dropping crash . The crash began as the field closed in on the finish line and sent rookie Kyle Larson's car sailing into the fence that separates the track from the seats. The multicar crash occurred near the end of the Nationwide Series Drive4COPD 300 race at the same Florida track where Sunday's Daytona 500 will be held. Reigning Sprint Cup champ Brad Keselowski, who told he and others were simply "going for the win" was among those involved, while Tony Stewart somehow emerged unscathed and finished  by winning the race. Driver Kyle Larson's vehicle ended up flying into a fence that separates the track from spectators. It broke into pieces  including tires and a fiery engine. Larson walked away from the crash, even after the front part of his No. 32 car was completely gone. He and the other nine drivers involved told reporters that they were checked at a medical tent on the Daytona infield and released. Some of the shredded debris flew into the barrier, while others got into the stands some of it reaching the second level about 20 feet up. Fourteen fans were treated at an on-site medical facility, while 14 others were transported to area hospitals, speedway president Joie Chitwood told reporters."I'm just hoping everyone is OK," said Keselowski. "As drivers, we assume the risk But fans do not."NASCAR president Mike Helton earlier told ESPN, which was broadcasting the race, some people were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center. He said the protective fence did its job in preventing potentially more injuries and possibly deaths. Byron Cogdell, a spokesman for the hospital, told that his facility was treating 12 patients. Two of those one of them a child are in critical but stable condition. "Everybody appears to be in stable condition," Cogdell said. Staff at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center were treating one person and expecting three more, spokeswoman Lindsay Rew said Saturday evening. The injured include Eddie Huckaby, a 53-year-old Krum, Texas, resident who suffered a leg gash when large piece of metal hit him as he was watching the race, his brother Terry Huckaby told. He described the motor landing in the stands, as well as a wheel "and everything flying over your head and debris everywhere.""He's doing fine," Terry Huckaby said of his brother, who underwent surgery at Halifax Health Medical Center. "The first thing he said, 'I don't want to miss that (Daytona 500) race, but I have to watch on TV.'" Accidents are nothing new to NASCAR, where cars often cruise at speeds topping 190 mph, nor to the Daytona track. One of the sport's most horrific, and well-known, wrecks happened in the 2001 Daytona 500, when famed driver Dale Earnhardt Sr. was killed also, on that race's final lap.Still, injuries and fatalities to spectators are much rarer. With the stands having been quickly evacuated, crews worked to repair the damaged fence.
Chitwood expressed confidence the 55th edition of the Daytona 500 would go on as planned, with spectators even sitting in the same seat struck by debris Saturday. Volusia County spokesman Dave Byron said six people with serious injuries were taken by ambulance to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. 'Those six met the condition of trauma patients,' Byron said, adding one person was also taken to Halifax in Port Orange. That injury was not serious. "With the fence being prepared tonight to our safety protocols, we expect to go racing tomorrow with no changes," Chitwood said. There were no injuries among the 12 drivers involved in the crash, including the stars Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski, the 2012 Sprint Cup champion. All were examined at the infield care center and released.Saturday's accident occurred at the front of the pack of racecars athey rounded Turn 4 and headed toward the finish line. Regan Smith, driving the No. 7, was leading and was being pushed by Keselowski. As they approached the end, Keselowski attempted to pass Smith, but Smith blocked him from trying to get to the outside. That led to the crash at the front of the pack that collected 12 racecars in all. Larson was hit by several cars when his car went into the air. "I was getting pushed from behind, I felt like, and by the time my spotter said lift or go low, it was too late," Larson said. "I was in the wreck and then felt like it was slowing down and I looked like I could see the ground. Had some flames come in the cockpit, but luckily I was all right and could get out of the car quick." As for the cause of the crash, Smith took the blame. "I tried to throw a block coming off of 4," he said. "I knew Brad was going to go make a move. It's Daytona; you want to go for the win here." At a press conference, that lasted just 8 minutes, Daytona speedway president and NASCAR's senior vice president for racing operations Steve O'Donnell said that the Daytona 500 race would go forward tomorrow as previously scheduled. 'We are in the process of repairing the facility, and we will be ready to go racing tomorrow,' Daytona International Speedway said in a statement.

Hyderabad Test will move on, CA and BCCI said

BCCI and CA, both Boards Put Their Views Over Hyderabad Test B/w India-Australia

Both Cricket Australia & BCCI are concerned with the recent bomb blasts in Hyderabad as 2nd test between India & Australia is going to be played in Hyderabad from 2nd March. Hyderabad Test will move on, CA and BCCI said | Eminentyouth But Cricket Australia said there is "no reason to doubt" that the match would go ahead as planned. "We will make assessments in time but at this stage there is no reason to doubt that what we have planned in Hyderabad will go ahead," CA CEO James Sutherland, who is here for the opening Test which got underway on Friday, said. Hyderabad, which is scheduled to host the match from March 2, was on Thursday rocked by two bomb blasts which has claimed 19 lives. "Very concerned to hear that news but at the same time we are focussed. On the management side, we will wait for the next few days and make any necessary assessments. But the focus here right now in Chennai is on cricket," asserted Sutherland. Sutherland said it was too early to express fears as he is "comfortable" with the security being provided to the Australian cricketers. "We work closely with relevant authorities in taking advice from them. I think it's premature to be making assessments on that (whether Hyderabad can host the match) but from where I sit right now, my expectation would be that everything will go ahead in Hyderabad as planned," he stressed. "I am very comfortable (with security arrangements). He added. "We do our pre-tour visits and liaise with the relevant authorities. Everything has been mapped carefully and is going according to the plans," he said. Hyderabad Test will move on, CA and BCCI said | Eminentyouth Sutherland said none of the touring players have expressed any security fears after the blasts. "No player has indicated any concern at the moment. The players are very focussed right now on this Test match in Chennai and the management will do what they need to do; taking relevant advice, working with authorities here in Chennai and in other parts, including the Australian government," he said. Sutherland also refuted suggestions that the incident would distract Australian cricketers from the job at hand. "These guys are professional sportsmen and part of that is preparing yourself in being able to manage distractions. You need to perform at the best of your ability and you wouldn't get to this level unless you are able to do that," he explained. "I am very confident that the team is focussed on what they have got ahead this week in Chennai. At the same time, they are very confident to leave it on the management to focus with any other issues," he said. Australia are scheduled to play four Tests against India leading into the Ashes series during the English summer. Dozens of extra police reportedly surrounded the Chennai hotel where the Australian and Indian teams are staying. Captain Michael Clarke said his players were focused on the Chennai game. "From the team's point of view, our focus is wholly and solely on the field because we've got people off the field who are experts in what is going on. We'll be advised by them," he said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with all the people of Hyderabad who have been affected." "Australia's cricket tour of India has been plunged into uncertainty," said the Herald-Sun newspaper, while the Sydney Morning Herald carried a headline "Hyderabad Test in doubt as bombings rock city". Australia pulled out of a tour to Pakistan in 2008 over security concerns after a series of bombings in the troubled country. They also refused to play any matches in the 1996 World Cup in Sri Lanka after bombings there. Cricket Australia, which said the safety of players was paramount, earlier said the tourists had received "no information to suggest there is any threat to the team" but that talks were ongoing. "We advise you to exercise a high degree of caution in India at this time because of the risk of terrorism, civil unrest, crime and vehicle accidents," the department said. "Terrorist attacks could occur anywhere at any time in India with little or no warning," it said. "Possible targets include public places in New Delhi, Mumbai and other major cities, and Indian security and political interests." However, the overall level of advice for Australians in India has not changed, with the department recommending people exercise a high degree of caution. No major international cricket has been played in Pakistan since a deadly attack on the Sri Lankan team bus by armed militants in Lahore in 2009. A statement was also made from BCCI that the second cricket Test between India and Australia would go ahead as scheduled in Hyderabad since the state government has given assurance of safety and security of the players. Hyderabad Test will move on, CA and BCCI said | Eminentyouth The visiting Australian players and officials had expressed concerns but BCCI on Friday assured them all safety measures would be in place. Senior BCCI official Rajeev Shukla said they saw no reason to shift the Hyderabad Test, scheduled to begin from March 2, from the city. "After BCCI President spoke to me, I spoke to Union Home Secretary, who was in Hyderabad and had discussion with the Chief Minister and officials of state government. After that he apprised me that adequate security will be provided to the players as well as the spectators. So Test match should not be shifted out of Hyderabad," Shukla told reporters outside the Parliament House. Shukla, who is also IPL Chairman, said BCCI President N Srinivasan will speak to Cricket Australia Chairman to assure him of the security of the players. "I have conveyed to BCCI President, who in turn is going to speak to Chairman of Cricket Australia to convey that when government is giving guarantee of safety and security of the players and the spectators, I think we should not change the venue," Shukla said.
