India Australia, Chennai Test: Day 2 | Eminentyouth Indians were hoping to dismiss the rest 3 batsman as soon as possible while the australians were looking to score as much as possible runs to score so that they can put Indians under pressure. Australians began their batting after their past score from 316/7 on day 2. M Clarke & Peter Siddle continued their batting but their going on day 2 was quiet slow. Indian bowlers to maintain a regualar pressure on both the batsman. This resulted in the downfall of aussie skipper Clarke on 130 caught by Bhuvneshvar Kumar on the bowling of Ravinder Jadeja Soon after Peter  Siddle was dismissed on 19 caught in slip by Sehwag & Siddle became the first victim of the Harbhajan who is playing his 100th test. The australian innings came to end on 380 when Nathan Lyon was dismmised by Ashwin & became his 7th wicket of the innings as a sharp catch was taken by Kohli. Ashwin ended up with his carrier best figures of 7-103. Indian batting was dependent upon their openers to get down australians total of 380. But both openers Vijay & Sehwag failed as both were clean bowled by Pattinson. Vijay went to pavilion after scoring 10 while Sehwag only managed to get 2. Entering the match with modest domestic form, Vijay was beaten for pace by a full ball that tailed back fractionally and plucked out leg stump via the inside edge. Sehwag never seemed at home, and a late defensive prod on a ball angled back into him resulted in a dismissal that looked bizarre but also felt inevitable. Then Sachin Tendulkar & Cheteshwar Pujara got set their eyes & managed a good partenership. India Australia, Chennai Test: Day 2 | Eminentyouth James Pattinson breathed fire for Australia before Sachin Tendulkar made his most ominous start to a Test innings in recent memory as India reached 84 for 2 in reply to the visitors' 380 at tea on day two in Chennai. But when Pujara was setting up his eye for his fifty, he was clean bowled by Pattinson on 44. Both Sachin & Pujara managed to had a partnership of 93. On no. 5, Virat Kohli came & joined Sachin. Soon after Sachin reached his fifty. Virat Kohli also set his eyes & started playing his shots all over the park. In the final over of the day, Virat Kohli picked up a single on Lyon's delivery to reach his 6th test fifty. India ended the day on 182-3 with Sachin on 71 & Kohli on 50.
