2013 Honda CBR 600 RR Launched - See Features & Specifications

Honda CBR600RR is Updated for 2013

Finally, Honda updated the CBR600RR this year. This update was long awaited. Already so many awards have been won by the bike and this has always been on the top of the list for prospective buyers as it holds Honda's core values, superb performance and easy to ride characteristics. Firstly, the CBR600RR was launched by Honda in 2003 which featured unit pro link suspension and various other race technologies, which were adopted from their MotoGP bike.

2013 Honda CBR600RR Specifications and Features

A list of comprehensive updates are made on the 2013 Honda CBR600RR, such as the new front cowl which has a sharp and slanted look. Compared to earlier, the wind screen is smaller and the cowl is slightly higher. The aerodynamic supremacy does not end here; the headlights are angled towards the inside for a better air intake for the RAM air duct. It looks like that the CBR600RR has the same drag efficiency as the MotoGP bike, which says a lot. The riding position is more involving which gives you more confidence while cornering. The front fairing panel and the tail piece have been redesigned for aerodynamic purpose as well to emit heat away from the rider.

Dynamically, the CBR600RR gets a host of changes as well. It gets an easy to adjust 41 mm Showa big piston inverted fork at the front, while the unit pro link rear suspension has a new damper for better on road performance. Mass centralization has been improved to lend the CBR600RR more agility. The CBR600RR also gets 12-spoke aluminium wheels which further aids the dynamics and help lower the weight. The improved ram-air intake duct and the improved fuelling from the Denso 12 hole injector and the updated PGM-DSFI system deliver more power in the-mid range and high RPM range and also enhance throttle response by adding 40 mm throttle bodies.

The Honda CBR600RR is powered by a 599cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder, DOHC, 4-valve engine which is mated to a six-speed close ratio gearbox. This machine produces 118 BHP of power but is quite fast owing to its light weight. This motorcycle is not going to launch soon in India as these bikes come as CBU units and will turn out to be very expensive because of the recently exercised excise duty on imported bikes which makes it even more expensive and not a great value. If launched in India, the Honda CBR600RR will easily be priced around the Rs. 10 lakh mark.

Report: Google is making Smart-Watch to compete with Samsung & Apple

Like Apple iWatch rumours and Google glasses sightings, it is also rumoured that google is working on its smartwatch.

According to Financial Times, Google is making its own version of a smart watch. What's interesting is that it's not Google's experimental arm X Labs developing the watch but rather Google's Android unit. The latest preview for the series (above) is evidence of that, with glimpses of the intimidating Cersei Lannister, and the determined Daenerys among the featured characters. With Game of Thrones set to return for Season 3 on March 31, we're seeing more and more of the series in promos and trailers. The second official trailer for the season focused on war, as did one of the two other recent previews. Given that war is a recurring theme, that's hardly a major spoiler. The fight for the throne is far from over and all signs point to another explosive season when the series returns.

It was not revealed which part he will play. The "Game of Thrones" author will have a cameo in Season 3, but executive producer David Benioff did not confirm the role to Deadline. This isn't the first time Martin filmed a cameo. The author filmed one for the pilot and also explored having his head on a spike, but both those options were quashed earlier in the show's history.

Game Of Thrones will be back on HBO on 31 March with a third season once again focusing on the fight between the various royal families to get the much sought-after Iron Throne.

The next 10 episodes will be energized by the arrival of 14 new characters. 'King-Beyond-the-Wall', Mance Rayder will be among them. Coldplay drummer Will Champion will also be joining the cast.

Business Standard quoted Google's executive chairman Eric Schmidt as saying:

"The day is not too far off, when a basic Android smartphones with a web browser and web-client apps may soon hit the markets for as low as $50 (Rs 2,700 approximately at today's exchange rate)"

Story:

Tej Khullar is the loud Punjabi father you don't want to have if you are a 20 something guy like Sameer. But if you're his elder sister, Tanvi, you'd absolutely adore him. Sameer and Gattu are happy go lucky college friends. The stingiest man in the world, Tej Khullar sports a fake Rado watch and fake gold chains, but decides to buy his daughter the only original thing he has ever bought, a Maruti car. Tej is a hardcore Maruti lover who decides to gift her Maruti Ertiga on her wedding day. And he wants to ensure that Sameer doesn't get his hands on it. Tej is convinced that Sameer is not his son. He believes Sameer was exchanged in the hospital during childbirth. Sameer's dad thinks he is a good for nothing. He just wishes Sameer would grow up to be a man someday someone who he could stop calling 'Useless burger'. Sameer, on the other hand In order to try and impress Jasleen aka Jazleen (the Shakira of Chandigarh as she calls herself), who has to get around the city in a rickshaw,  he decides to borrow the new Maruti. When the smitten Sameer praises the leggy lass, she retorts: "My hips might but my lips don't lie!" And when he calls her the next day and reminds her of the previous day's meeting and the promise to meet again, she wants to know "kaun Sameer – Puri, Khanna ya Randhawa?" The guy is too besotted with the damsel to get the hint. He sneaks out with the car and the girl. By the time the party ends, he loses the former and leaves the latter at the end of her tether. Sameer now stares at the prospect of a merciless mauling at home. His sister's wedding is only three days away and he has little time to find a way out of the trouble that he has landed himself and his friend, Gattu (Prabal Panjabi), in. His plan has landed him in the deep end of a messy pit. He loses the car and a series of crazy twists and turns ensue before the story ends.

Performance:

The performances are cool. Ram Kapoor, one of television's most loved actors as the khadoos dad in his first full-fledged comedy role. He has really let himself go in this role. Saqib Saleem who made his debut in last year's sleeper hit from Y-Films' 'Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge' , in his second big screen outing, hits all the right notes. Rhea Charaborty playing Jazzleen is cute but does not make an impact. Ravi Kishan in a short role is fine and Prabal Panjabi, as Gattu is a delight. The Music is very impressive as all the Punjabi lead singers gave their performances in the movie especially Yo Yo Honey Singh's Rap in "Punjabiyan Di Battery". Director Ashima Chibber makes the emotions and family equations relatable and keeps the movie going at a steady pace so as not to bore the viewer.

Verdict :

Movie has no big face and it is turning its biggest weakness. The 2 hour length of movie makes it an optimum setback to enjoy nonstop. One can go & enjoy it as it will not make the money waste.

The Doodle displays his legacy and life with an animated doodle. He was born on 11 March 1952 in Cambridge. Adams well-known for his work "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" - a comic science fiction series with its movie adaptation in 2005. Douglas Adams wrote some of the best English novels at his time, with some of his books selling more than 15 million copies worldwide. He showed a flair for writing from an early age and went to graduate in English literature in 1974. After graduation, he moved to London. He began his career in radio broadcasting at one of the BBC Radio stations. His work for the UK radio industry earned him a place in the hall of fame of the UK Radio Academy. A music aficionado who played guitar and piano, Adams was an environmental activist who championed the cause of wildlife conservation. The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was born as a science-fiction comedy series for the radio. The first series - consisting of six episodes - was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 in March and April 1978, and received an excellent response. A seventh episode was broadcast on 24 December 1978. The first four episodes of the series were adapted into the book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It was first published in 1979, initially in paperback, and reached number one on the book charts in only its second week. The book sold over 250,000 copies within three months of its release. A second series of five episodes was broadcast one per night, during the week of 21-25 January 1980. The doodle includes a spate of clickable elements of Adams' famous novels. When clicked, the doodle also plays sound in the background which can be turned off which a click of a mouse. A cup of tea in doodle has also been included as well, which brings the remembrings one of Adams' Dirk Gently detective novels, named The Long Dark Teatime of the Soul. The doodle also features a robotic character when clicked on the liftdoor. The robot, named Marvin, is one of the several characters from Adam's novel The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It also has a towel, an item Adams always would mention as an essential thing when travelling in space. Here is how Adams explains the importance of towels in the third chapter of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy:

The Hangover III: Tralier Launched, Get Ready For Some Hilarious Antics

The official trailer, dropped on Thursday, features the boys out of Thailand the setting for the second movie  and returning to their original stomping grounds in Vegas. Bless the comedy gods, because the wolfpack is back . Even Mr. Chow has made a comeback (this time with clothes, it seems) and beloved Melissa McCarthy seems to be stopping by the Strip. Who wouldn't love to see a romance bud between the Bridesmaids star and wolfpack leader Alan (played by Zach Galifianakis)? Everyone was excited to know that in how much time, India will win the game & every Australian would be hoping that some miracle may occur & they can save the match.

Australia resumed their innings from overnight score of 74-2.

Watson & Cowan were the batsman on the crease.

But the Australians hopes whispered in the 3rd over of the day, when Shane Watson tried to flick 1 ball from Ishant Sharma & Skipper Dhoni did not made any mistake in taking that.

Watson without any single run from his overnight score of 9 departed.

Australia were 75-3 at that moment.

Michael Clarke came at no. 5 to bat.

Both Clarke & Cowan tried to built a partnership & took Australian total past 100.

But R Jadeja continued to pick up his favorite victim in the series, Aussie skipper M Clarke.

Clarke was clean bowled by Jadeja on 16.

Jadeja has took the wicket of Clarke 3 times in the series out of 4 times he has been dismissed.

Australian total was 108 at that time.

Then batsman came & go.

Cowan's temparament did not stayed quiet long with him as his fighting innings of 44 was finished by Ashwin, he face 150 deliveries.

'Mama Africa' Miriam Makeba's 81st birthday Became Google Doodle

#The Google Doodle for this Monday remembered South African singer and civil rights activist Miriam Makeba on her 81st birthday.

#The Grammy-award winning singer, also known as Mama Africa, actively campaigned against South Africa's racist apartheid government. #Born in Johannesburg on March 4, 1932, Makeba gained initial fame in 1959 during a tour of the United States with South African group the Manhattan Brothers. #Zenzile Miriam Makeba's mother was a Swazi sangoma (traditional healer-herbalist). Her father died when she was six years old. #Miriam spent the first six months of her life in jail after her mother was sent to prison for selling illegal beer when she was just eighteen days old. #As a child, she sang in the choir of the Kilmerton Training Institute in Pretoria, a primary school that she attended for eight years. #In the 1950s, Makeba's professional career began and she was featured in the South African jazz group the Manhattan Brothers. She left the Manhattan Brothers to record with her all-woman group, The Skylarks, singing a blend of jazz and traditional melodies of South Africa. #She was the first artist from Africa to popularize African music in the US and around the world in the 1960s. Mama Africa is best known for the song "Pata Pata", first recorded in 1957 and released in the US in 1967.

#She along with popular artists including Harry Belafonte, Paul Simon, and her former husband Hugh Masekela recorded and toured in several parts of the world. #In 1963, she testified against apartheid in South Africa before the United Nations. Her country responded by revoking her South African citizenship and right to return to the country.

#Guinea, Belgium and Ghana came to her support issued her international passports, and she became, in effect, a citizen of the world. In her life, she held nine passports, and was granted honorary citizenship in ten countries. #In 1966, Makeba received the Grammy Award for Best Folk Recording together with Harry Belafonte for An Evening with Belafonte/ Makeba.

#She moved to Guinea in 1968 after her marriage to Stokely Carmichael caused controversy in the US. She lived there for the next 15 years. #Miriam Makeba was amongst the several popular artists that took part in the Nelson Mandela 70th birthday tribute festival on 11 June 1988. Mandela was eventually released in February 1990 and that paved way for Makeba's return to her country in June 1990. #Since she actively campaigned against the racial seggregation and South African system of apartheid,  the South African government revoked her citizenship and right of return. #She returned home when apartheid cease to exist in her native country. She died on November 9, 2008 after performing in a concert in Italy. #A tribute show to Makeba entitled "Hommage à Miriam Makeba" and curated by Grammy Award-winning Beninoise singer-songwriter and activist Angélique Kidjo for the Festival d'Ile de France, was held at the Cirque d'hiver in Paris on Sept 25, 26 and 27 Sept, 2009.

#The same show but with the English title of "Mama Africa: Celebrating Miriam Makeba" was held at the Barbican in London on November 21, 2009.

#"Throughout her life, Mama Makeba communicated a positive message to the world about the struggle of the people of South Africa and the certainty of victory over the dark forces of apartheid colonialism through the art of song," said Foreign Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma. #A documentary film about the life of Miriam Makeba, co-written and directed by Finnish film director Mika Kaurismäki, was also released in 2011.
