UGC NET JRF Dec 2012 Result Out & Answer Key - Complete Update

The result of CSIR UGC NET December 2012 exam is out which was held on December 30, 2012. The candidates whose Roll Numbers are listed on the site have provisionally qualified for award of JRF. These candidates are also eligible for Lectureship.

UGC NET Exam - Eligibility Criteria

To qualify the candidates need to score the minimum marks separately in all three papers.
  • General category candidates have to score 40% each in paper I and II, and 50% in paper III, while
  • OBC (non-creamy) category the distribution is 35%, 35% and 45% respectively.
A merit list will be prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks of all the three papers secured by such students. ugc net jrf 2012 exam

UGC NET 2012 December Exam - Result & Answer Key

University Grant Commission (UGC) NET 2013 result was published online on March 25, 2013. Candidates, who have appeared in the NET 2013 exam can visit the official website www.ugconline.in to download the results. You can click here to visit the direct result page of UGC NET 2013. NET-December, 2012 was conducted completely in objective mode in 78 subjects and at 77 centres spread across the country. The candidates were allowed to carry the copy of OMR answer sheets on conclusion of the examination. From June, 2012 onwards, UGC has taken major step toward bringing objectivity and transparency in the examination system. The UGC will soon issue the e-certificate for the candidates, who are declared qualified.
  • 7,78,130 candidates registered for the UGC NET examination
  • only 6,15,136 appeared
  • out of them only 39,226 has been passed in the examination
  • but only 3669 candidates have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship.
UGC had uploaded the answer keys and question papers on its website and besides this, it invited online feedback from the candidates.

About Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)

The candidates who qualified the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) Examination of UGC/CSIR NET are eligible for the lectureship's post. In addition they are also eligible to receive Fellowships (UGC/CSIR) under various schemes subject to the candidates finding their placement in the universities/IITs/other national organizations. Students can check the results here. The validity of the offer is two years w.e.f. the date of issue of JRF award letter. The validity period of the offer has been raised from one year to two years for JRF Award Letters issued on or after 1st April, 2005. However, in case the candidates have already joined M.Phil. /Ph.D., the date of commencement of fellowship will be from the date of declaration of NET examination result or date of their joining, whichever is later.

NET Exam - Earlier

There was more than just a controversy on previous exam that was held in June 2012. Many candidates stood against the unfair criteria and finally got justice from Supreme Court. IndiaExam also supported students by guiding them to do the right thing.
