Selection of Final 15 Team Members for Champions Trophy
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that India's final squad for the ICC Champions Trophy which will be going to held in June in England and Wales will be decided on Saturday, 4th May 2013. The 15 member squad will be selected by panel which will be led by Sandeep Patil. Squad will be selected from the 30 probables who are already chosen for the tournament from 6-23 June. On April 6, while picking the most probables the selectors dropped senior players Virender Sehwag and Harbhajan Singh. But they can select players from outside the list as they have an option according to an ICC source.2013 Champions Trophy Schedule
Kick off match will be played between India and South Africa on June 6 at the Sophia Gardens at Cardiff, Wales in Group B match. India will play against West Indies on June 11 at the Kennington Oval in London and final match will be against arch rivals Pakistan on June 15 at Edgbaston, Birmingham. Group A includes Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Semi finals is scheduled on June 19 and 20 and will only include the top two teams from every group at Kennington Oval and Sophia Gardens respectively.
