  • In the final over, RR needed 6 to win. In the second ball Brad Hodge was bowled and a brilliant run out of Owais Shah by Virat Kohli followed. With 3 needed off 2 balls, Stuart Binny hit a boundary to seal a thrilling win
  • RCB are yet to win a game outside Bangalore. This was their 4th loss, all away games. They had won 6 in Bangalore # For RR this was 6th win and 5th at home out of 9 games
  • RR required 52 off 30 balls. Then it came to 30 off 18 balls. From 13 off 12, it was 6 off 6 balls for RR
  • In the 17th over bowled by Ravi Rampaul, Hodge hit 2 sixes and RR had 17 runs in that over
  • Right-handed Sanju Samson became the youngest player to make an IPL fifty
  • At 18 years and 169 days, Samson erased previous record of Shreevats Goswami (RCB) who had scored at 19 years and 1 day against Delhi Daredevils in Bangalore (2008)
