SRH won the toss and elected to bat first. Start was not good of SRH after winning the toss. 4 wickets of SRH were lost just for 15 runs.

2 Australian players showed their potential and they were seemed brighter at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. First was the left arm pacer James Faulkner and second was the Shane Watson as they both powered Rajasthan Royals to a victory of 8 wicket success over Sunrisers Hyderabad. Faulkner was magnificient who took 5 wickets only for 20 runs in 4 overs while Watson played a magnificent innings of unbeaten 98 but missed out his 2nd successive IPL hundred. RR chased 146 in 17.5 overs. RR made an pressure on SRH in early session of the match. SRH played the dump cricket against Rajasthan Royals.
