Next week we will be going deeper into the Tardis than ever before approximately to the center!  It also seems that we might get to know a few more clues regarding who or what Clara is.  Definitely the Doctor seems to be growing impatient when it comes to the mystery behind her identity.
A spaceship salvage team drags the TARDIS on board, sending its systems into meltdown. As the Doctor marshals the motely salvage crew outside, he realizes Clara is still trapped within his malfunctioning ship, pursued by a dangerous group of ossified monsters. He has just 30 minutes to find Clara and save his TARDIS before it self-destructs.

Clara is dressed for the Lindy Hop and the Doctor is dressed for a geography lesson – as ever – and there is some other guys dressed for Scrapheap Challenge. The poor Tardis, though, is going to be laid bare.   It's an okay episode, but it disappointes a little bit, underwhelming for a story with such a deliciously tantalising title. It's a fairly straightforward action adventure. There are many "Wow!" moments, but too much time is spent wandering around corridors – and pretty generic sci-fi corridors to be honest rather than something uniquely TARDIS. While we were expecting something mythic, it instead feels a little grungy. At times it's clearly aiming for an Alien vibe, and there's more than a little of Danny Boyle's Sunshine in there too. They're great films to reference (and the episode uses its influences well enough), but you wonder if that's the right vibe for a story about the TARDIS ? Along with all, there are some very effective moments of tension and edgy action scenes.   Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS is to be broadcasted on April 27th at 6.30pm on BBC One and BBC HD, and 8 ET on BBC America.
