Two victims suffered multiple gun shot wounds, but were conscious when they arrived at the hospital and have been taken into surgery. One of them is in critical condition.

One of the alleged suspects was shot and arrested, multiple outlets reported, and for hours there remained another potential suspect at large. Police were searching a wooded area around the campus, and local station. A SWAT team arrested a second suspect around 4 p.m. A 22-year-old man has been charged in the shootings at a Houston-area community college campus that left him and two others wounded. A Fox station reported those involved knew each other and it didn't appear to be a random shooting. The sheriff's office reported at a news conference that the shooting occurred because of a dispute between two people, one who was a student.

A statement from the Harris County Sheriff's Office identifies the suspect as Carlton Berry. Spokesman Alan Bernstein says Berry is charged with aggravated assault but remains hospitalized with wounds suffered in the shooting. Bernstein said no other identities are available. The immediate scene seemed centralized around the school library and cafeteria, where witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots — some student witnesses reported hearing five or six. Jed Young is the spokesman for the Lone Star College System campus in north Harris County. He says a shelter-in-place order has been issued.
